Shermco Canada is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Saskatoon office.

 

Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. This vital role will provide comprehensive administrative support to Project Managers and departmental leaders, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Project Managers and senior team members
  • Assist in opening new projects based on client-specific contracts and internal procedures
  • Schedule meetings, training sessions, and coordinate certifications for staff
  • Support compliance reporting by gathering, formatting, and submitting required data
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Coordinate distribution and ordering of FR (flame-resistant) gear and PPE for field teams
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry for time sheets, Living Out Allowance (LOA), and employee records
  • Assist with billing inquiries, accounts payable follow-ups, and financial tracking
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
  • Anticipate team needs and ensure managers are always supported, informed, and ahead of deadlines
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and building essentials (kitchen, janitorial, general facilities)
  • Take initiative to improve processes and solve administrative bottlenecks proactively

Qualifications

  • High School diploma; some post-secondary education would be an asset
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay Range
