About the Role

Shermco Canada is hiring a skilled and safety-driven Journeyperson Electrician to support our Electrical Services team on the BHP Jansen Project. This role offers hands-on industrial electrical work alongside a strong team culture that values safety, professionalism, and career growth.

Our electricians work across a wide range of systems—from 24V to 230kV—delivering high-quality maintenance and electrical solutions in demanding industrial environments.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain, install, test, and repair industrial electrical systems
  • Work with low, medium, and high voltage equipment
  • Perform electrical work in active industrial environments
  • Ensure work meets the Canadian Electrical Code and Shermco standards
  • Select proper materials and complete quality installations
  • Complete maintenance, safety, and quality documentation
  • Work safely around energized power and control systems
  • Mentor apprentices and support team development
  • Participate in safety reporting, audits, and inspections
  • Contribute to a strong safety-first and team-oriented culture

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate
  • Industrial or commercial electrical experience (asset)
  • Maintenance experience in an industrial setting (asset)
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
  • Willingness to work out of town as required
