This is an excellent opportunity for a technically inclined sales professional who thrives on building long-term partnerships and growing business in a dynamic, high-impact industry.

 

As a Territory Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with industrial clients, data centers, hospitals, and electrical contractors. You’ll represent Shermco’s full suite of electrical testing, maintenance, repair, and engineering services—delivering value-driven solutions to help clients improve safety, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across assigned territories and industries.
  • Manage existing accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Conduct regular site visits and account reviews to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales proposals, estimates, and technical presentations.
  • Partner closely with engineering and operations teams to align customer needs with Shermco’s service capabilities.
  • Represent Shermco at trade shows, conferences, and customer training events.
  • Track all sales activity, opportunities, and communications in CRM.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for pricing, contract terms, and issue resolution.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to provide consultative insights.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred) — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in B2B outside sales, preferably in the engineering, industrial, or electrical power industries.
    • Strong preference for candidates with experience in:
      • Electrical testing, maintenance, or field services (480 VAC to 345 kV)
      • Electrical commissioning, power engineering, or T&D/substation projects
      • Studies such as Arc Flash, Coordination, Load Flow, and Transient Analysis
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales goals.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, strategic thinking, and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 20% of the time.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform site visits as needed.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check, drug test, and fit-for-duty exam.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
